Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at Meigs Jewelry. The Sales Associate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting them in finding the perfect jewelry pieces, including rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and more. Your knowledge of jewelry, attention to detail, and ability to build strong customer relationships will contribute to the overall success of our store.
Key Responsibilities: - Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, actively listen to their needs and preferences, and provide friendly assistance throughout their shopping experience. Offer personalized recommendations and guide customers through the selection process. - Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of Meigs Jewelry's product offerings, including various types of gemstones, metals, and jewelry styles. Stay up-to-date with the latest jewelry trends and industry knowledge to effectively communicate the unique features of each piece. - Sales: Actively engage in sales activities to meet and exceed individual and store sales targets. Utilize effective selling techniques, cross-selling strategies to maximize revenue while maintaining a consultative and customer-centric approach. Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and participate in regular stock checks. Keep displays organized and presentable, ensuring the store's appearance is always at its best. - Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers by providing exceptional service before, during, and after sales. Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and foster customer loyalty. - Merchandising: Participate in creating visually appealing displays to showcase new collections and promotions effectively. Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to create attractive and eye-catching store layouts. - Store Operations: Comply with all store policies and procedures, including cash handling, opening/closing procedures, and security protocols. Maintain a clean and organized workspace and contribute to the overall cleanliness and organization of the store.
Qualifications: - Passion for jewelry, gemstones, and fashion trends with a desire to continuously learn and stay updated on the industry's latest developments. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the store schedule. - Knowledge of basic computer applications and point-of-sale (POS) systems is advantageous.
Salary Details: Sales Associates earn a base salary of $37,500, with the ability to earn up to $75,000 as sales performance develops. Additional details about this compensation plan will be discussed during the interview.
